Dag yo, I get sleepy sometimes.

My fault for net going to bed at reasonable hours. But before the wife starts crying foul over the MMO, much of the time I'm just screwing around on the internets.

I was writing up an entry in my character's journal the other day. I keep one on my guild's forum because it's fun, and it's the only rp-fiction I've ever liked doing. When I finished I realized I had been writing for about 40 minutes. That annoyed me. How can I write something completely valueless, and be content doing so, but when I try writing my book my eyes roll into the back of my head. So I tried writing at work, and once again I got bored and irritable. I don't know why. Maybe because I feel like I'm not writing as well. I want to keep plugging away at it. I've really got to get my writers group started. I think that'll help a lot.

The theaters have been closed, due to the pox!

Nora has the chicken pox!

Sorry, those three babies she hung out with yesterday. I didn't know. O:-)

Anyhoo, that has destroyed all weekend plans, but that's okay, we didn't really have any. At least she should be over it by her first birthday party. Lucky we pushed it back, eh?

It's August 2, by the way. E-vites are going out.

Things to do this weekend

Work tonight should be fun because Zach will be there to "train" us. Remind me to bring my D&D book.

I think someone's going to have to slap a coat or two of primer on the walls of House 2.0. I don't want to have to scrunch it all in together. We've got the kitchen and bathroom paint ready, but I don't know if the walls are completely done yet. I might just do it anyway. I'm sick of dragging my feet.

I should apply for at least three jobs this weekend. That would be good. Tipper wanted to me apply for this one from captionmax which involves writing scripts describing tv shows for the blind, and also possibly recording the scripts. I didn't like the sound of it at first, but now it sounds kind of interesting. Three things bug me. One, very nonspecific on the pay, it only says "entry level compensation" which sounds crappy. Two, it's second shift, which just seems unnecessary. Three, it says "be willing to work overtime if needed, which seems code to me for "always."

So, I don't know. Doesn't hurt to apply, I guess.

I should also write up a proposal for the TVTV internet division. I get the general impression that they're very unenthusiastic about doing an internet show, but that can be very lucrative, and you can never really get canceled, you just stop making money, and you've got no one else to blame. A lot of people are getting TV and book deals from the net. It's the wave of the future!

Rocky Raconteur - The Manly Art of Being Me

This is my new blog, because I'm too socially awkward for livejournal. I can now send this like to all my friends. Awesome.

I've named it Rocky Raconteur because I wanted to. Deal.

It's not themed. It's not exciting. I'll never get a book deal out of this.

For example, today I ate at Denny's. The food was disgusting and greasy, and I've decided to switch to light foods, because I can't stomach rich, heavy foods anymore. When I got to the car I said to myself, "I gotta switch to light foods," and then I thought, why do I always make wishy-washy resolutions? So I said "I am switching to light foods," and there you go.

Anyway, I guess I've got to do the dishes today. :P
